Day 12 - Jens My project is inside a coffee-cup, flowing into me, sip by sip, inducing adrenalin into my system, making my heart beat faster and my thoughts move more rapidly between each other, causing collisions and fruitful meetings in the network of my ideas. I start thinking faster, typing faster, moving faster, breathing faster, being faster. An utterly efficient mechanism, pouring all of me into the product that is to come, while the world passes my window in a snail-like crawling motion, not even coming close to sparking my neurons, as they get bored before they've even started. Nothing can keep up with me; nothing, including myself and as I lag behind I see me disappear into the distance, in a cloud of dust, leaving me to cough up the remains of my coffee-cup-project, hoping that somehow, my slow, mindless self will be able to fathom what it was that I wanted. This video is one of the tools for a new, open-source physical-theatre project by Jens Bäckvall and Christian Adelhorst Rossil. Every day in 2012, we will create a small movement or other idea for the stage with a minimum length of 10 seconds. This will be filmed and uploaded. The uploads are not meant as finished material, but are sketches for possible further work. Every video and the things done in them are open-source, meaning that anyone may copy, use or be inspired by the videos and movements and use them in any way they want to.
