Day 49 - Jens (choreography week)

Day 49 - Jens (choreography week) This week is choreography week. On monday, Jens and Christian each create a short choregraphic proposal consisting of a few movements. Tuesday, Jens continues creating movement for Christian's proposal and Christian creates movements for Jens' proposal. Wednesday we swap again and so on until Sunday. By the end of the week we will have two short choreographies. Today's text: Who are you old man, who looks at me? Your face is tan and your eyes all see. Do you know my name, though I don't know your's? To my house you came, not to other doors. Is it good or bad, the news that you bring? Will it make me sad or make me sing? Suddenly I know, you are here to teach. I bow down low and I long to reach, up toward the stars, and into the earth. You have come so far, sit down at my hearth, You have words to tell, I will listen well, wisdom in you dwells, I can hear it's bells. Welcome to my house; let us start. This video is one of the tools for a new, open-source physical-theatre project by Jens Bäckvall and Christian Adelhorst Rossil. Every day in 2012, we will create a small movement or other idea for the stage with a minimum length of 10 seconds. This will be filmed and uploaded. The uploads are not meant as finished material, but are sketches for possible further work. Every video and the things done in them are open-source, meaning that anyone may copy, use or be inspired by the videos and movements and use them in any way they want to.
